The temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) is used to determine how the electrical resistance of a conductor changes with temperature. The temperature coefficient of resistance is the change in resistance per degree centigrade over the temperature range of the conductor above 20°C. The change in resistance is determined by at least four measured resistance values over the conductor temperature range. The TCR is essential for normalizing resistance readings to 20°C.
The temperature range of interest may be adjusted.
