Strippability and Adherence of Insulation to the Conductor
Physical FOR: insulation $580This test may also be referred to as simply the "Strip Force Test."
The purpose of this test is to measure the level of difficulty to remove the insulation from the conductor. The insulation should not be easily removed from the conductor, however, it should be able to be removed with the usage of a proper insulation removal tool.
In this test, the force necessary to remove the insulation from the conductor (i.e. strip) is recorded. Depending on the wire/cable specification, there may be an acceptable range of values.
