Smoke Toxicity

Chemical FOR: Cable $3,140

Toxicity testing of aircraft wire is crucial to assess the potential health hazards associated with the combustion of wire materials, particularly the release of toxic gases. The gases from combustion of materials under test are captured at specified intervals and chemically analyzed for the following gases: carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, and hydrogen fluoride.

Lectromec outsources this test to an external laboratory.
