This test evaluates the ability of connector to withstand mechanical shock (impact) loading as specified in MIL-PRF-39018. The specimen is mounted on a shock test machine and subjected to specified shock pulses (typically half-sine, sawtooth, or trapezoidal waveforms) at defined peak acceleration and pulse duration.
Mechanical shock testing verifies that the product can withstand the transient acceleration forces that may occur during transportation, handling, or in-service events such as hard landings or weapons firing.
