This test evaluates the outgassing (off-gassing) behavior of connector when exposed to elevated temperatures as specified in AS39029. The specimen is heated in a controlled environment and the volatile condensable materials (VCM) and total mass loss (TML) are measured.
Outgassing testing is critical for products used in confined spaces, spacecraft, and sensitive electronics environments where volatile emissions can cause contamination of optical surfaces, circuit boards, or other sensitive components.
