Existing Platform Services
Whether your platform is private, commercial, or military, aging platforms face a set of challenges different than new aircraft. This may include directed maintenance, replacement planning, upgrade certification, and obsolescence forecasting. Below are Lectromec’s service areas for existing platforms.
System sustainment (SLAP/SLEP/MECSIP)
Aircraft sustainment is becoming ever more critical as platforms are being pushed to fly longer than their originally certified life. Service Life Assessment Projects (SLAP), Service Life Extension Projects (SLEP), and Mechanical Subsystem Integrity Program (MECSIP) are some of the examples where Electrical Wire Interconnect Systems (EWIS) assessment may be performed. Lectromec’s services can identify the remaining life of your aircraft (or fleet) to support a data driven approach for maintaining airworthiness of the electrical system. Find out more
EWIS Investigation
If you are not at a point for the performance of a system sustainment operation, but need some information about the state of you EWIS, Lectromec can help. Lectromec’s training inspectors can review your existing EWIS installation and maintenance records and identify if additional testing is necessary to determine EWIS conditions. Find out more
General Aviation EWIS Risk Assessment
Lectromec developed a thorough risk assessment process for EWIS specified for smaller aircraft. The EWIS Risk Assessment inspects all EWIS components through an on-site physical inspection. Find out more
Incident Investigation
Lectromec’s laboratory is equipped to provide root-cause analysis for a wide variety of suspected wire system failure-induced incidents. Employing proprietary incident scenario recreation processes, Lectromec’s investigation results have been admitted in court as expert testimony. Find out more
