Component Verification
With high failure consequence systems like aircraft, verification of component reliability is critical. If you are a component manufacturer seeking an independent lab for testing your components, Lectromec can provide you with the testing solutions for your application.
The following is a brief overview of Lectromec’s process for component verification.
Understand your project’s needs
We start by understanding your particular testing needs. If you are not familiar with the types of testing or analysis that you may need, Lectromec can help (we can perform both general tests as well as specific tests). We will work with you to develop the test plan that you need.
1. Review test plan
Nothing is worse than performing testing that does not match the client’s expectations. Before the first sample is tested, we review the entire test plan with our customer to agree on all testing details and project deliverables.
2. Constant feedback
From our experience in testing aerospace components, we have learned that constant client interaction ensures that there are no surprises with the test results. Maintaining regular communication on test progress with the client allows for changes to be made that maximize the test value.
3. Test report delivery and review
Once all of the data has been gathered, a final report is compiled detailing the test, the equipment, and results (if needed, equipment calibration information will also be provided). After delivery, a final project meeting is held to discuss any technical issues and any last minute modifications to the final report. For those components that have successfully completed an industry test standard, Lectromec will supply a certificate of completion.
4. Follow up
After all work has been completed, we follow up with our clients to gather feedback on project execution, communication, and professionalism. We do this so that we may continuously improve our process.
