Wire System Investigation
Wire system investigation can take many forms. This might involve a new design for damage tolerances, system verification and fault detection, or life extension assessments. Lectromec has been developing wire assessment technologies utilizing our engineering and laboratory capabilities and has several options for these assessments.
Risk Assessment
Electrical Wire Interconnect Systems Risk Assessment Tool (EWIS RAT)
Lectromec developed EWIS RAT to analyze EWIS components and provide certification for electrical aircraft systems. The software tool can be used for various applications including wire routing and layout modification safety evaluations. Find out more
EWIS Risk Assessment for Service Life Extension Programs (SLEP)
The EWIS Risk Assessment for SLEP developed by Lectromec utilizes a combination of aircraft data and EWIS component physical inspection data. The collected data is used to determine the overall aircraft reliability and the wire system’s susceptibility to failure. Find out more
Other EWIS Assessment Services
DelTest
The DelTest was developed and patented in 2004 by Lectromec in order to detect wire insulation breaches on new wires and bundles that have been removed from aircraft. The DelTest was developed with the goal of providing customers with an effective management tool to improve their wire management and preventative maintenance programs. The actual test consists of a thorough point-to-point tester inspection performed by Lectromec’s personnel to find breaches and/or cracks in wire insulation. Find out more
EWIS Investigation
If you are not at a point to perform a system sustainment operation, but need some information about the state of you EWIS, Lectromec can help. Lectromec’s trained inspectors can review your existing EWIS installation and maintenance records and identify if additional testing is necessary to determine EWIS conditions. Find out more
