This test evaluates the standard test method for coefficient of linear thermal expansion of plastics between -30°c and 30°c with a vitreous silica dilatometer of material specimens as specified in ASTM D696. The test is performed in accordance with the procedures defined in the standard to verify compliance with the applicable requirements.
Test specimens are prepared and conditioned as specified, then subjected to the defined test procedure. Results are compared against the acceptance criteria established in the product specification to determine conformance.
